Coordinator for the Employment Market Unit

The municipality of Upplands Väsby is preparing for the upcoming activity requirement for social assistance and is therefore looking for a coordinator to prepare and coordinate the municipality's activities.

The focus will be on acquiring and mapping internship placements within municipal operations as well as building structures and processes for how the work should be carried out.

About us

At the Employment Market Unit, 20 people work in various workgroups and initiatives. We work both on behalf of financial assistance and directly from our main individuals. We offer support and guidance individually and in groups.

About the position

The coordinator position at the Employment Market Unit is a newly created role. You will, in consultation with the unit manager and deputy unit manager, shape the content of the position based on the needs of the unit. The focus will be on work within the upcoming activity requirement for social assistance. We want to develop new processes for the case flow from social assistance to internship via the employment market unit. The role also includes contributing to the development of methods for follow-up and reporting of individuals who are on internships. To thrive in this role, you need to enjoy making new professional contacts and promoting the organization.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A higher education deemed suitable by the employer of at least 3 years.
• Very good administrative and organizational skills.
• Experience in developing new processes and working methods used by workgroups/operations.
• Extensive experience in municipal labor market work.
• A good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing.
• Experience and habit of giving presentations to larger and smaller groups.

It is meritorious if you have:

• A driving license (B).
• Experience working with employers.
• Experience in social services.
• Experience in project management or project work.
• Experience in conducting group activities/workshops.
• Ability to speak more languages than Swedish and English.

Furthermore, you are results- and solution-oriented, which for us means that you have the ability to find effective and practical solutions without getting stuck in problems. We also believe that you need to be relationship-building to fit the role, as you find it easy to make new contacts and cultivate and maintain them.
